Brands have gotten into the habit of leaving an ever-increasing margin between the presentation of their new products and their marketing. A period which is not only devoted to the production of new launches, but also to the refinement of certain technical details such as the approval of their performances. In the case of electric cars and other electrified cars, it also serves to add a few extra kilometers to the range offered by their batteries.

This is something they don’t always communicate precisely about, and they do very little when revealing their prices. A recent example is that of the new Tiguan eHybrid, which has recently become known to have a range of more than 100 kilometers. Today, it’s Citroën’s turn to make headlines. The French brand revealed the prices of the new ë-C3 at the start of the year, in order to ensure a significant number of orders for its successful debut. Before the end of the year, the new ë-C3 had already accumulated more than 10,000 reservations in France.

An unprecedented success which should increase in all the markets where it will be marketed, to the detriment of a cheaper version which will arrive in 2025, but whose autonomy will of course be more reduced, with a price of 19,990 euros, the real workhorse. The version you can reserve today is considered the top of the range, with a 113 hp electric motor and a lithium-ion battery between the axles which, with a gross capacity of 45 kWh and a net usable capacity of 44 kWh , offers 300 kilometers of autonomy.

This figure has been improved and, as confirmed by Citroën following the WLTP cycle tests, it amounts to 326 kilometers in total. A figure that varies slightly downwards in the most complete equipment, precisely for this reason and for the fact that it has 17-inch alloy wheels compared to the 16-inch wheels of the lower trim level. Both versions are equipped with an on-board charger with a power of 100 kW which allows you to go from 20 to 80% of the total capacity in just 26 minutes. These features, according to Citroën, make the new ë-C3 one of the “best value for money utility vehicles on the market”, which you will see in dealerships in early summer, i.e. early July.
