POST TENEBRAS LUX

Carlos Reygadas’ POST TENEBRAS LUX is a landscape of possibility, vibrantly alert to the tensions of class, family and desire, pulsating with life. The film tells the story of Juan (Adolfo Castro) and Natalia (Nathalia Acevedo) and their two young children. A wealthy, modern family living in the secluded Mexican woodlands, they are surrounded by dreamlike possibilities and the blunt, violent realities of daily life. As a filmmaker Reygadas refuses to distinguish between dreams and reality, and so POST TENEBRAS LUX takes on issues of duty, class and morality with a feverish poetry from its thrilling opening sequence to its radical conclusion.
