Presented in partnership with the Sarasota Manatee Jewish Federation on Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah), the Sarasota Film Festival presents NO PLACE ON EARTH, an incredible document of human survival and endurance in the face of almost impossible odds. This documentary tells the story of an American explorer and investigator Chris Nicola who, while mapping out the largest cave system in Ukraine, discovers evidence that five Jewish families spent nearly a year and a half in the pitch-black caves to escape the Nazis. NO PLACE ON EARTH is the story of the longest uninterrupted underground survival in recorded human history.
