The “In Conversation…” series at the 2015 Sarasota Film Festival will now include sit-downs with Interstellar producer Lynda Obst and Manglehorn director David Gordon Green, festival officials announced. Other scheduled events this year include interviews with actresses Jane Seymour, Cloris Leachman and Blythe Danner, as well as directors Oren Moverman and Tom Browne.
Obst, a producer with four Academy Awards and 20 nominations under her belt, will discuss her career in film and television production, a resume that includes Flashdance, Contact and Hot In Cleveland. The festival will also honor her with the Polly Platt Award for Producing, a new honor this year. Officials promise the “In Conversation…” event will focus on the secrets to building a successful career as a producer. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 at 4pm at Florida Studio Theater.

Green’s Manglehorn, a film starring Al Pacino, was selected by festival officials for the Narrative Section. The sit-down with Green will be conducted as an extended question-and-answer session following the screening of the film on Sunday, April 11 at 8:15pm at the Regal Hollywood 20.
