Sarasota Film Festival programming director Michael Dunaway has announced an award luncheon scheduled for April 19 at the Sarasota Yacht Club to honor SFF guests actors Cloris Leachman and Jane Seymour. Both will be receiving awards.
Leachman, known for her side-splitting turn as Frau Blucher in Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein, an Academy Award-winning performance in The Last Picture Show and a recent record-breaking twirl on Dancing with the Stars, will accompany the family comedy/drama This Is Happening, also starring Judd Nelson.
Seymour, best known for her Golden Globe-winning performance as the eponymous healer in the television series Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, her turn as the Bond girl Solitaire, and recently opposite Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in Wedding Crashers, will be at this year’s festival with the thriller Bereave, in which she performs opposite Malcolm McDowell.
“Both of these women have had exemplary careers in television and film,” said Dunaway, who will be in attendance for the awards, alongside SFF President, Mark Famiglio.
The awards luncheon for Jane Seymour and Cloris Leachman is April 19 at the Sarasota Yacht Club. The Sarasota Film Festival runs from April 10-19.
