Audio: Approaching The Elephant Explores When Students Set Education Agenda

While numerous documentaries about education have made their way through the Sarasota Film Festival, few have set out to explore the value of taking out easy in the classroom. We sat down with Amand Rose Wilder, the director of Approaching the Elephant, as well as Alex Khost, one of the film’s subjects, about a democratically run school where students get to set their own curriculum and are encouraging to think hard before they start working too hard.
