SFF’s Moonlight Movies Series Will Kick Off With KT Curran’s Holding Cell

The Sarasota Film Festival today announced the return of Moonlight Movies, a series of free Friday night screenings at various public venues from schools to public parks. The series kicks off on Jan. 24 with the Sarasota-filmed The Holding Cell, by KT Curran. “As one of the only film festivals in the country to provide free programs to students and families, Moonlight Movies remains an important way for us to engage our community through the art of film,” said Mark Famiglio, SFF’s executive board president.

The list of films in the series is a mix of local cinema, independent film and family movies. The lineup includes The Holding Cell, Mary Poppins, Dirty Dancing, Lee Daniels’ The Butler, The Films of Gina Telaroli, The Hunger Games and The Little Mermaid.
