With the Sarasota Film Festival done until next April, the time has come again to consider the state of film in Florida as a whole. It seemed a perfect time to us, then, to release this extended interview with Miami film producer Andrew Hevia.
We already posted last week about Hevia’s When We Lived In Miami, a short film directed by SFF alumna Amy Seimetz. But Hevia also spoke to us extensively about what it will take for Florida to have a cinema scene that rivals Hollywood. He is at hard word on the subject in Miami, but feels Sarasota can be a critical part of a regional success. And fortunately, he spoke to us when our media partners at WSRQ could record the entire conversation. Click below and listen to our banter.
