Check out this great article by SFF Juror Jordan Hoffman. In it he calls actress Kate Lyn Sheil, who had roles in five films at this year’s SFF, “the current low budget it-girl” (you can check out our conversation with her here), talks about why he chose The Unspeakable Act for the Independent Vision Prize (yep, we chatted with director Dan Sallitt, too) and why he couldn’t walk away without giving props to the zingers in Richard’s Wedding, which took home the Special Jury Prize for Screenplay. (One of my favorite interviews was with the cast of Richard’s Wedding. Not only are they all just as funny in person, but they’re good sports, too. Onur Tukel, Jennifer Prediger and Randy Gambill all agreed to jump up and down in a water fountain so our photographer could get the perfect shot (which, fingers crossed, will show up in the June issue of SRQ).
