I Wish I Had A Cat in Paris

A Cat in Paris is that enchanting light-hearted film that makes you wish it was you.  You know, the kind of movie that’s charm draws the world with the warm feeling of adventure and the secure notion that it all works out in the end.  Cat’s setting, jazz-age music, illustration style, and lovable character development meld wonderfully into a family friendly work of art, but if you choose to see it, you better make sure you’re ready to manage the kid’s desperate pleas for a new cat.

A Cat in Paris was initially released in 2010 in Algeria.  It hit the indy circuit and eventually worked it’s way into a 2012 Academy Award Nominee for Best Animated Feature Film.  Although Rango would go on to win, Cat’s nomination was especially herald a success, because it edged out Pixar’s Cars 2 to become one of the two independents in the category.

The film screens again Sunday, April 22nd at 3:45
