Film Forum

One of the best parts about seeing films at the festival is often the Q&A with filmmakers after screenings. This year, a sampling of films will have extended discussions at the Film Lovers Forum, which will be held at the Applebee’s next door to the Hollywood 20.

The most exciting film forum at first blush would be Ethel, the documentary about political widow Ethel Kennedy directed by her daughter Rory. The Kennedy clan, of course, has suffered more than its share of tragedy, including the assassination of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy, Ethel’s husband and Rory’s father, while he was campaigning for president. Rory, an accomplished filmmaker most noted for her film Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, should be in town for a forum on April 15.

April 18 – Elena; High Ground
