If you want to see Mangrove Slashers before it’s sequel screens at SFF, don’t bother looking. Sarasota filmmakers Sean Haitz and Chris Potter decided to start with Mangrove Slashers 2.
“We decided to get straight to the killing, partying and boobies,” Haitz says.
The horror film is director Haitz and photography director Potter’s first feature length film. Since both were raised in Sarasota, they held off on screening it at other festivals and pushed to debut the film here. It screens on April 9, and was shot entirely in Sarasota.
